Inspiration Nr. 1: Happiness
INSPIRATION # 1: HAPPINESS
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." (Mark Twain)
Happiness is for many people only a term, a word they hear often but strugle with its true meaning. To be happy is not only an ilusion. It can be the reality for every one of us - yes, for YOU too. Important is to realize what is it that really makes you happy, what is it that lightens up your day and life. We let ourselves get distracted too much by the society, other people´s expectations, our daily activities or commitments we decided to follow. We spend too little time, if any, with ourselves. Too rarely do we dream about our lives, our visions, what we want, what we feel we should do. We let our obligations and commitments rule our lives. We tend to neglect our inner voice, our dreams and the calling of our hearts. The longer we resist the more frustrated and unhappy we get.
It is time to stop for a while and think - think about what makes you happy and do it. DO IT NOW. How many more years do you want to wait?
I personally don´t have a creative job at the moment and what I always wanted to do was create art. Do something fun which will distract me from the daily stereotype. And so this year I decided to take some action :) I bought some paints, canvas and will paint something this weekend (doesn´t matter what) because I am convinced that this will be an activity which will create a smile on my face :) We do things which we really love once in a blue moon. This has to change. Happiness does not wait in front of your door - you have to create it, to live it in every aspect of your life. If you already know that a certain situation, activity etc. is definitely not making you happy - you have to change it.
My brother likes to say: love it, change it or leave it. These words are very smart - it truly is that easy. BTW: to find out more about economy, investing, trading, real democracy, freedom, corruption etc. visit my bro´s blog at: jarogruber.blogspot.de/
If you hate your job - make a change, try to find something else. Don´t care about what will your family or colleagues say - if you realize that you led a boring and unhappy life at the age of 85, do you think you can blame them for it? Do you think other people will take responsibility for your unhappiness? I am pretty sure they won´t and even if - how would that change the fact that you led an unhappy life - it is therefore only you who can decide and be responsible for your own happiness and satisafction. Life is too short to spend it in unhappiness and frustration. Remember - it is only you who can make THE difference. Nobody can force you to be happy - it has to be your own decision. If you want to be happy decide for it now and take the road of happiness. It will not always be easy, but I can assure you that you will not regret it.
As for me for example, I knew that life in Slovakia was driving me crazy. I always had this inner feeling that I will only be happy in another country. I never felt there at home even though it is the country of my origin (I have no idea why but this is how it is). So one day I realized that the sooner I make a change the better for me. And so I prepared for a big change - I ended up in beautiful Bavaria, Germany and am thankful to the universe that I followed my intuition (even though I had a so called perfect job in Slovakia when others were struggling to find any kind of job etc.). Of course it was not that simple - we need to make some sacrifices - give something away in order to receive someting else - but if it is worth it then nothing else matters. Sometimes we have to risk.
But I would always rather decide for a risk associated with a potential happiness than to stick in boring and frustrating but familiar and safe unhappiness.
Good luck in your happy lives, friends :)
